When Omar Salazar steps on a skateboard, it’s a non-stop hell ride of barely contained energy and controlled chaos. It’s as if Omar’s intentionally scaring himself, hitting the sketchiest spots at high speed for nothing else but the absolute thrill of the rolling ride. Keeping the hype alive and well for Tyler Bledsoe’s first signature shoe, Etnies drops Part 2 of the video supporting Bled’s new Mid-Top.
In 1994, shortly before Philadelphia became labeled as the skate mecca of the era, local Philly shop Sub Zero dropped a low budget VHS production called, Real Life. The video featured full parts from Philly legends like Ricky Oyola, Matt Reason, Sergei Trudnowski and Fred Gall.
Tyler Bledsoe, the newest recipient of an Etnies shoe, has some new old footage that’s hit the interweb. Though the footage is from about a year or so back when Tyler was still pushing spectacles, he still kept it ridiculously smooth with one of the best Nollie Inward Heels in the business.

When Mikey Taylor’s name went missing from the Etnies roster few months back, the Slap Forums went bananas exploring claims of Mikey’s new footwear whereabouts. Well, it looks like the conspiracy theory-style speculation was all true. Mikey Taylor is now riding for the DC shoe program.
Today I took a look back at one of my favorite skaters of all time and watched his part from Alien Workshop’s Photosynthesis.
