Coming up fast and hard is easy for Theotis Beasley. The kid from Inglewood owns every vital quality for success. He’s got it all: impeccable style, coupled with a massive bag of tricks. And if that weren’t enough, fate has also infused him with all the admirable human qualities. He’s ultra charismatic, warm-hearted, and possesses an infectious happiness.
It is clear that Theotis’ trajectory for skate-stardom is straight up. To say we’re amped to announce that Theotis Beasley is the newest member of the
CCS Team, would be an understatement.
The CCS team is choice cuts, the cream of the crop. We’re not bragging, that’s just how it is. We add maybe two new guys a year. In 2010 it was Silas and Torey. This year it was Shane and Lizard. We’re getting a jump on 2012 with our newest proud addition to the CCS family, Mr. Theotis Beasley. When you find a dude with the perfect mix of talent, intelligence, charisma, and optimism that Theo possesses, and you learn that he’s been wanting to ride for CCS since he stepped foot on a skateboard, you don’t wait, you pull the trigger. Thanks! I appreciate that! I’m hyped! I’ve always wanted to ride for CCS, since day one.

I used to get the catalogs when I was a kid.
So now that you are on CCS how does it feel?
Man it’s an honor to be on the team with Brian Anderson. He’s like one of my favorite skaters. Man, CCS has got like the best teams in skateboarding: Sheckler, Torey Pudwill, Jerry Hsu, David Gonzalez. CCS has, a bunch of really amazing skateboarders. It’s tight to be a part of it. It’s a good program going on, I like it. Cool People.
So tell me, growing up, were you excited when the CCS catalog came in the mail?
Yeah, I’d come home from skating and I’d have the catalog waiting for me. They are still coming, I got one yesterday. I like seeing what all the new products that have come out. It’s like looking through a new skate mag to see what’s tricks have been done because everyone is so good these days. It’s kind of like that for product. I get kind of like the same feeling.
Since you’re now riding for CCS you’ll inevitably get the cover of a CCS catalog at some point.
Yeah that’s crazy because I’ve always wanted to get the cover. It’s some serious coverage. When I’ve seen my other homies on the cover I’d been like, “Damn that’s tight! That is something I want to do!” I was talking to P-ROD about it. And he was saying that millions of people see it. It’s a big opportunity to get that much coverage. I remember people saying, “I got a catalog from CCS and you was in it.” I was like wow that’s tight. To get on the cover is some big exposure. Everywhere in the US people will see it. It will make you a celebrity. Yeah, I’m psyched to do it!
Sick so what’s next for you? What kind of plans do you have for the future?February 1

th I’m going to China to work on the new
Nike SB video. Then it’s filming for
Baker.
Andrew Reynolds wants me to film for like year straight. They might put out a DVD and drop it into every magazine and online. I’m hoping to work towards getting a shoe possibly.
