On his recent visit to New York for Manny Mania, we shot David for his new CCS Catalog Cover and pressed him for answers to a few of our What’s.

What are you about to go into surgery for? Minor ankle surgery. No big deal.
What was Manny Mania 2011 like? It was really fun because my brother was there and it was my first time skating it.
What’s your favorite part of your shoe? The tongue on The Heathen Low because it comes out over the laces and looks cool after you wear them for a little while.
What Flip rider do you skate with the most? Luan and Louie.
What’s your favorite fast food? In N’ Out.
What would you do with 5 hours left to live? Get all my family and homies together and get wasted. And also do my last Ollie Impossible!
What are your 3 favorite skaters of all time? The Gonz, Cardiel and Rowley.
What’s your favorite album ever? “Kill ‘Em All” by Metallica.
What are you terrible at? Growing.
What trick can’t you do? Varial Heelflip.
What’s your favorite place to eat? My mom’s house.
What’s the best guitar solo ever? Judas Priest “Pain Killer”.
What’s your last major purchase? My car.
What’s the sketchiest thing you’ve ever witnessed? I’ve seen a taxi driver get stabbed by a guy on the street while I was in the cab in Colombia.
What’s so good about P2’s? The pop is two times better than regular boards.
What’s something about you nobody knows? That I have a brother named Sebastian who is really good at skating.
