Patrick O’Dell is a name that’s forever been linked to the kind of photography that nails the rawest of candid moments. The former Vice Photo Editor and Thrasher Photographer has made a ton of noise over the years with his photo blog Epicly Later’d, and acclaimed skate documentary web series of the same name.
To celebrate the release of Patrick’s signature Altamont Tees, we hit him up for a custom blog post that’s more or less Epicly Later’d, but fine tuned to be CCS’d.
this is Andrew at the LA river… we were doing a shoot for his “Made in LA” jean. He gets super impatient whenever we shoot a portrait. Usually we do them in his yard, but since the jeans are Made in LA I wanted to go somewhere iconic.
this is Brian Hansen and his dog Keeper. This is behind Nuge’s house in a Tipi he has in the backyard.
this is one of the first catalogs we shot for Altamont. I can’t believe how young everyone looks!
this is a long time ago in Switzerland I think. He had just kickflipped into a fountain.
Fos and I got to go back stage and meet Gwar. There is a video of this online. Fos is a huge Gwar fan and even skated to one of their songs in a Heroin video.
Theotis at his house… I think these are both his sisters.
this photo is right before we jumped the fence to skate the wave pool in Arizona… the video is HERE.
This is right after filming a batch of Theotis sponsor me reviews, this kid had a Maple board which I thought was really old, but I guess someone somewhere still makes them.
Slash changing his identity on tour. I know for a fact he wasn’t 21 yet in this photo, he asked me to buy beer for him which tripped me out! He looks 35.
on a drive somewhere. Theotis watching the 15th skate video in a row. Kenny Hoyle in the foreground… the two nicest kids in the world.
This is a typical greeting from Theotis… he is the best person to run into.
