Matt Orona from the CCS Am Project recently had a "My City, My Crew" article in the latest CCS catalog, since then I caught up with him for a little interview. Check what he has to say and keep an eye out for Matt in the upcoming Am Project video that is currently brewing. Here's the Interview..

What’s crackin Matt?  Nothing much dude.. just givin my kittens some love.

For those who don’t know, you went to the TWS awards with us, how was that?  It was sooo dope! Getting kicked out by security at first bummed me out but luckily my manipulation skills kicked in and I swindled my way back in time for the vid.

What were your favorite parts?  The whole video together was way too sick, but I really liked Alien Workshops section.

What do you got planned for this summer? Any skate trips?

Hell yeah! Me and the homies are planning on going out to SF for a week and I got a cross country trip with the fam to New York so I know I am gonna be occupied.

What’s your favorite place to skate? San Francisco.

Who is in your top 5 for favorite skaters?  Nick Trapasso, Austyn Gillette, Julian Davidson, Antwuan Dixon, Dennis Busenitz.

Have a top 5 favorite skate vids?  Baker 3, Yeah Right, Chicken Bone Nowison, Suffer The Joy, and Stay Gold.

If you could skate with anyone in skateboarding who would it be?  There are too many people to name but I think it’d be dope to shred with Bastien Salabanzi.

What do you like better, shooting photo’s or filming?  Both are sick but filming with the homies is too fun.

What do you get into when you not skating?  I like to run mucks 24/7.

Who is your hero?  The Lord.

How’s Ventura been?  Its been mellow, the weathers been nice so I’ve just been relaxing.

Do you make it to skate LA a lot since you are so close?  Not as much as I’d like to, but we manage to get up there at least once or twice a week.

Did you grow up in Ventura?  Nah, I’m originally from San Jose but I’ve spent most my childhood in Santa Clarita and most of my skating days out here in Ventura.

When did you start skating?  I started skating right when I got my first board for my 13th birthday. Best day of my life!

What are your favorite companies?  Too many to name but if I had to break it down it’d be Alien and Toy Machine boards, Independent, bones, and I think Altamont clothing is dope for sure.

What would you do if you didn’t skate?  I’d probably be some lame ass jock or a burn out.

What is the sickest show you’ve been to?  Dre Dogg concert w/ Hopsin, it was dope!

Who’s the Boss?  Andrew Reynolds, no doubt.

 Who’s the Body?  Baby Baxter.

What would you do if you won the Mega Millions Lotto?  I’d build Ventura a REAL skate park, then donate some of the money to charity and what not.

If you could get one sponsor outside of skating what would it be?  Hi-Chew.

Who are your favorite CCS pro’s?  The whole CCS team is stacked with shredders but I really enjoy the styles of Lizard, Appleyard, T-puds, Westgate and David Gonzales

Do people ever recognize you from the CCS catalog “My City My Crew”?  Yeah. I’ve gotten some kids that were hyped on me and I’ve also been getting some little girl stalkers but I ain’t down for no jailbait. My daddy raised my right.

Were your family & friends stoked?  Hell yeah! Everyone was super hyped on everything! My parents were way more hyped than anyone though hahaha.

Seen any good movies lately?  Nahh, I’ve been hooked on this show called "Breaking Bad" though, that shows intense.

Have any profound words of wisdom?  Love God, Love life, and be yourself.

When are we gonna see a full part!?  My homie Tim Strickland’s full length video called "BESBEELEVEDAT" also the new upcoming CCS am video.

Any shoutouts?  I wanna give a shout out to the homie Skimp out there makin a livin, the baby homie Lil Man, the homie Sammy, big dawg Ryry, the brotha Nickybee, the homie Odd Ball and the homie Sickness,  get well soon buddy!
