The skateboard world came together last night to honor and celebrate the life and times of Steve Caballero—the man behind one of the oldest and most iconic pro model shoes in skateboard footwear history, The Vans Half Cab. More than 1,000 guests gathered at the House of Vans in Brooklyn, New York for a not-soon-to-forgotten party featuring live musical performances by Agent Orange (featuring Cab himself on bass), Tony Alva and G.F.P. with members of Suicidal Tendencies, Circle Jerks, D.F.L., and Drunk Injuns. Party goers were also treated to a special footwear exhibit and photo show featuring some of skateboarding's most iconic names photographed skating in the Half Cab as well as a curated footwear gallery featuring Half Cabs custom designed by some of the most celebrated visual artists in skateboarding.
