Nike SB and Made For Skate teamed on an exhibition event at Nike's Sixth & Mill space in downtown Los Angeles, California this weekend for a full blown museum opening and party for Made For Skate The Exhibition. Published in 2010, Made For Skate is one of the most comprehensive books ever produced on the subject of skateboard footwear history. The book chronicles the storied evolution of the skate shoe starting in the early 60s and traces its roots all the way up to some of the present day designs you seen in skate shops today. Nike has played a major roll in skate shoe history and the evening's museum launch gave attendees an exclusive look at some of the brand's key contribtuions along the way.
