CCS Am Cody Lockwood has been on a killing spree as of late. With full Am status on Lifeblood, a full time gig as a builder with Dreamland Skateparks and a summer full of contest skating, this long haired ripper is positioned to become one of the most talented all terrain maniacs out there. We caught up with Cody for a little phone interview this week to see how his summer has been shaping up. Have a read below and then scroll down to see Cody's video interview from Low Card.
What 's been up, Cody? Have you been building some skate parks? Not much. I've just been working and skating. Yeah, I've been working with Dreamland Skateparks for a solid two years now. We just built one in Wyoming.
Have you been skating a lot? Not a whole lot, I had some setbacks due to an injury and I've been working quite a bit lately. But I'm about to take a month off and go let loose.
Have you been filming at all? What about contests? I'm always filming! I'm working on a part for the second Lifeblood video and a Bones Wheels part as well right now. No contests lately, but I leave for Sweden on Aug 12 for a contest in Malmö.
What's the best contest you've ever entered? Ever walk away with cash? I would have to say the contest that I'm about to go to in Malmö is the raddest one I've have been to so far. Yup! I made a couple thousand last year in Sweden. So stoked! Huge thanks to John Magnusson for making that contest happen!
Did the 10% rule apply to your winnings? Yeah, party time is mandatory if any of the homies win some cheddar!
Who have you been skating with? Just the dudes I work with lately, but when I'm back in Portland I skate Burnside—so anyone who decides to lurk the bridge.
Who is your favorite Lifeblood teammate? I don't know. Everyone on the team rules! If I had to choose though I would have to say Kowalski. We have known each other and been friends longer than anyone else on the team.
How has the NorthWest been? When I'm there it's the best ever! I love Oregon.
Who's holding it down for the North West right now? So many people! Q-Man, Willis Kimble, Frank Shaw, Silas Baxter- Neal, Steven Reeves, Silent Mike, Jermey Tuffli, Darkness, Hunter Okano, Mark Scott, Johnny Turgeson, Binger, Kevin Kowalski, David Gravette, and a hundred other rippers.
Dream sponsor in skating? Probably Volcom. I have always liked their stuff and going on a trip with that cast of dudes would be epic!
What about a sponsor outside of skating? Any airline, so I could have plane tickets to wherever whenever.
If you had one year of endless free travel room and board what would you do and where would you go? Bring a solid crew and we would be on the move constantly from country to country trying to see as much of the world as we could. Skating and eating dank food every step of the way.
Any plans for the near future? Keep building parks and filming parts!
Any new parts or projects dropping? Actually I think I have a part dropping on Lowcardmag.com this week and an interview in issue #48 Thanks Rob , Daniel and Garric.

I'm thinking if you plant "both" feet on an obstacle, it would be more of a "bomb drop" or "acide drop" type, but not boneless. I mean there are so many names for so-called "boneless", such as if you grab front-side and plant your back foot is doing...
@Zian, Sorry I don't know any one with that name. I don't really know anyone on bones except Pat Channita, if he's even skateboarding anymore. As I got older, stuff happens to my body like things shutting down such as going blind in my left eye and s...
